Gural will be preparing to go after a record fifth win in the annual gathering of the states best drivers at the 3/8 mile D-shaped high-banked oval.

Gural took home two victories on his way to five-top five finishes with the THR late model class and a third place point finish for the 2005 season. Gural also captured the top prize in the Texas Super Racing Series "Operation Interdependence 100" in May. The Kyle, Texas oval of THR is Gural's home track and because of his familiarity with the racing surface, he is always tough to beat. But just because Gural has been collected 22 wins at Thunder Hill Raceway and the 2001 Track Championship don't think he is a one track wonder. He also has grabbed a Texas Super Racing Series record 6 trips to victory lane (5 at THR and 1 at HMP) along with 1 pole to go with his 8 wins at the old Longhorn Speedway.

With 36 feature wins to his credit, Gural remains a favorite with not only the fans, but with his fellow drivers and promoters. Texas Super Racing Series founder and Thunder Hill Raceway co-owner, Mary Ann Naumann said, "Tommy is a great representation of what our series is all about. He is family and racing and in that order. He and his lovely wife Teresa are great assets to our series. Now that they have their beautiful little daughter, they have not been able to make all of our events, but the ones that they have, well he knows how to bring that car home."
