...REAL C-RATS®

I want to pass on a heart-felt "THANKYOU" to all who gave to the OI® C-RATS® and to all those who gave of their time to put them together. It always brings a Smile to a Marine's face when he gets Mail and to get one that has a little something in it for him makes it that much better.

…it is encouraging to receive such positive affirmation from the U.S. Mainland. Thank You all for taking care of the forward deployed Marines. I will get the word out to the Artillery Battalion and my Infantry counterparts. I am sure they want to participate in this awesome program.

It is an honor to know that so many good people are thinking about us as we stand watch over this great nation of ours. Please let all those great Americans know that their concerns, hard work and gifts are appreciated by everyone in the BLT…it's great to see this much support being given from so far away.

I most honestly must say that it was a nice and unexpected surprise...Please also send my regards to all the 8th graders and all others who may have participated.

My name is Craig Finger. I am a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. I've been a Marine for over 8 years. We here never expect a thank you for what we do. But when we hear it...well, let me tell you it is moving as unexpected. We are just doing our part and your thank you means more than what you can imagine...

We will always try to do our best and to never let you down. We will do our best to defend our Nation, Our People , and what we believe in. With Pride, we carry our flag to far away places and with Pride take care of it. For the Flag represents our Nation. And our Nation is all of you back home and at time abroad.

We, the Marines, we go to far away places. At times (often) we go to places where the people don't like us. We visit strange far away and exotic ports.

On land we train and do operations in very hot places where we see many camels, sheep, heat, dirt, sand, flies. At times we also see some of the most beautiful skies at night where at times you can even see satellites cruising by. We have Infantry Marines, Engineers, Airwing Marines, Snipers, Tank Marines, Motor Transport Marines and many more.

On Ship we do lots of exercises, listen to music, write letters, and read...reading is very important. Most of what we do on ship is to stand by to go in on land on notice. But all that depends on what happens.

At this point, we are looking forward to return home for we miss our families and loved ones. I myself, I'm looking forward in order to relax., watch a movie at the Cinema, and maybe drink a nice cold strawberry milk shake.

Things such as that are more like a luxury for us... which makes us appreciate it even more...

I can tell you are good people and all the 8th graders are a good future.

May; God Bless you all.

Thank you.

Craig Finger
Sgt/USMC
